Our vision: enabling a world of life-changing experiences.
The most important moments in our lives often happen in person. We meet a partner, a co-founder, an investor or a best friend at a gathering we only heard about because we knew the right person.
Our mission: make event curators successful. It drives everything we build. The more curators thrive, the more of these experiences exist, and the closer we get to our vision.
Buenro is a marketplace for destination events. Curators of festivals, conferences and curated gatherings sell their tickets through Buenro, and their guests book where to stay in the same flow, from a private villa to any of 3 million hotels worldwide. Ticketing platforms only see the ticket. We see the whole trip, and we share our revenue with the curators who made it happen, giving them an income stream they've never had.
And it doesn't end when the event does. Curators keep benefiting from the community they built: whenever their members travel again and book through Buenro, the curator keeps earning. We match the price of the accommodation that the user can find anywhere else, so booking with us costs a guest nothing extra, yet every stay rewards the community that brought them together. It's an effortless way for people to give back to the experiences that changed their lives.
Where we are today
Proven in the real world. We've successfully launched our product, guests have adopted the full ticket-and-stay experience with no friction, and results keep beating our forecasts. It's proving to be a compelling solution for event curators.
Signed with leading event curators on multi-year exclusive partnerships, with a strong pipeline of festivals, conferences and destination events across music, business and sport.
Well funded and in a strong position, backed by founder-angels who are deeply devoted to our vision. They're here not for a quick return but for what we're building: bringing people together in real life, and the impact that will have.
A fully remote team with leaders from BCG, Uber, Airbnb, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan and other exceptional companies.
Our culture is fast-moving, collaborative, and deeply caring about the experiences we create and support - both for our customers and within the team itself.
Event curators are our customers and our growth engine. Every curator we sign brings us their whole community. We're looking for our first senior sales leader to own how we find, win and grow those partnerships, from the first message to a successful event and beyond.
Your job is to build Buenro's entire sales department. This is a player-coach role: you'll start by building the strategy, generating the leads and closing deals yourself, going through the pains of the process first-hand so you know exactly what kind of people you'll need to bring in. Your priorities, in order: close the right curators, make sure they succeed, then build the team. We hire leaders first: you'll do the work from scratch, learn what the business really needs, and when you hit a bottleneck, you'll hire to scale and start delegating, step by step.
This role is fully remote. You won't need to travel to events; our ambassador network does that for you.
Strategy & pipeline
Build Buenro's sales strategy for curators: who we target, in what order and why, across music, conferences and sport.
Prioritise ruthlessly. We'd rather sign the right curator than many curators, so you'll focus on the partnerships with the biggest communities and the best fit.
Qualify every deal on its real potential for Buenro and the curator. We already have qualification criteria; you'll apply them and keep sharpening them as we learn what our ideal curator looks like.
Sell within our commercial framework, and help us improve it. We're still refining product-market fit, so your insights from the market will directly shape our terms and offer.
Lead generation
Today our growth is outbound. You'll find the message and the moment that make a curator want to get on a call with us, and then do it at scale.
Use AI, CRM and automation tools to reach more of the right people, without ever losing what makes Buenro special. Every message should feel personal, considered and real. Our brand is built on genuine relationships, and nobody should ever feel like they're on the receiving end of a mass campaign.
Build and lead our ambassador network: well-connected people in the festival and events industry who attend events in person, open doors for us and earn commission on the curators they bring in. You'll recruit them, equip them and turn their introductions into deals.
Grow the other channels too: your own network and referrals from curators we already work with.
Work closely with our Brand & Marketing Lead so Buenro is represented beautifully at every touchpoint of the sales process. As our brand starts generating inbound interest, you'll make sure those leads are captured and converted.
Closing
Run the full sales cycle: first conversation, pitch, negotiation and signature.
Sell multi-year exclusive partnerships, and know how to win curators away from established ticketing platforms at the right moment in their contract cycle.
Build relationships early with curators who are currently committed elsewhere, finding creative ways to start working together, so we're their first choice when the window opens.
Work closely with the COO on every agreement. You need a solid understanding of what goes into our contracts, and what each commitment means for our product and operations.
Curator success
Signing is only the start. You're accountable for every curator you bring in actually succeeding with Buenro.
Make sure every commitment made to a curator, from custom features to launch timelines, is understood by product and delivered. Work hand in hand with our product team and follow each one through to completion.
Stay close to each relationship after launch, so curators grow with us, renew and refer others.
Until we're big enough for a dedicated customer success team, this sits with you. When it's time, you'll help us build it.
Partnerships & supply
Our concierge will report to you from day one. Today they cover both sides: signing accommodation partners for each event, and looking after guests' concierge requests. You won't be selling to accommodation partners yourself, but you'll make sure supply is ready for every curator we sign.
As we grow, you'll decide how to scale supply, including whether to bring in a dedicated accommodation partnerships lead so our concierge can focus on guests.
Reporting, learning & team
Master our CRM and pipeline tools and build the sales playbook, so the process is repeatable and you can show the CEO and COO where every lead stands at any moment.
Report clearly and often: what's working, what isn't, the meetings you've had and what you've learned. Feed it into a sharper go-to-market and into product, so we keep building what curators need.
Once you know the business, analyse the bottlenecks and propose how to scale the team: who to hire, when and in what order. Then hire and lead them.
Signings: new curators signed each month.
Deal quality: the strength of each curator's brand and name, and the transaction volume they bring to the platform.
Pipeline: the qualified leads and calls you generate each month, and how well they convert into signed partnerships.
Outreach quality: personal, on-brand outreach that gets responses.
Curator success: curators who launch successfully, stay, grow with us and refer others.
Get to know our curators, product and commercial model inside out.
Review the existing pipeline and turn it into a prioritised plan.
Meet our ambassadors and current curators.
Find the outbound approach that works for Buenro. We expect you to be in live conversations from week one.
Close your first three new curator partnerships.
You know the world of festivals and events intimately and are completely at home in it. You don't need to come from the events industry, but you move in these circles, from festivals to art fairs and global summits, and you know who the founders are and how they operate.
You're an exceptional networker. Event founders make the decisions, they're rarely on LinkedIn, and warm intros are what work. You know how to reach them through your own network.
You've sold B2B partnerships with long sales cycles and multi-year contracts.
You've built and led sales teams before. Ideally you already know people you'd want to bring with you, but you're in no rush to hire: you're fully able to do the work yourself first.
You run outbound at scale that still feels personal, you're fluent with AI and CRM tools, and you always know your numbers.
You're assertive, direct and relationship-driven. Curators trust you.
An established name within the festival or events community.
Experience selling into high-end or curated event communities.
Experience at a ticketing platform or event-tech company.
Additional languages.
We operate as a fully remote company, enabling work-from-home for all team members. Everyone who joins gets equity through our option plan, so you share in what we build together. We also take time off seriously: generous time off, plus a week each year when the whole company switches off together, and commission on the partnerships you close.
